# Trekit

> Trekit is a digital push-pin map: the cork world map on the wall, made personal and alive. You pin the places you have been on a living map of the Earth, add a note to each pin, and keep it for years. Send it as one link or embed it on your blog. Not a feed, not a network.

## What it is

Mark where you've been. Share with friends. Plan your next adventure.

- A world map built from real imagery (NASA Blue Marble and Black Marble night lights, Natural Earth) with the world's wonders as postcards.
- Every place you mark shows on your map. Your profile will be that map (profiles are coming soon).
- The map is alive: the real day/night line, sunrise and sunset at the wonders, wildlife people photographed in the last hour, rocket launches, the aurora forecast, festivals and migrations happening today. Good news only: no disasters, no news feed.
- No likes, no comments, no followers, no feed. It is yours. Come back when you want to remember a trip or plan the next one.

## Who it is for

People who already track their travels: push-pin map owners, the friend everyone asks for the Google Doc, travel bloggers, digital nomads, study-abroad and gap-year students. Anyone who wants one beautiful, personal record of where they have been, and a way to show it on their own site.

## How it works

1. Open https://trekit.app and answer one question: where have you been?
2. Tap the places (or bulk-add a whole trip).
3. Save your map as an image and share it. Profile links and blog embeds are coming soon.

## Status

- Live today: the living map at https://trekit.app/, free, no account needed. Places are saved in your browser.
- Coming soon: accounts, your profile page (your map at one link), and a blog embed. Join the waitlist on the homepage.

## Privacy

No selling of data, no ads, no ad trackers, no analytics, no cookies. Today your map stays in your browser and nothing is stored on our servers. When accounts arrive: stored with Supabase under our control, public or private with one switch, exportable and deletable from settings. Full text: https://trekit.app/privacy
